# Agent Identity (ERC-8004)

## Agent Identity

As autonomous agents become active participants throughout the game development lifecycle, they require verifiable identities—not for centralised control, but for reputation, accountability, interoperability, and trusted collaboration.

GT Protocol implements a programmable on-chain identity framework that enables every autonomous agent operating within the ecosystem to maintain a persistent and verifiable identity.

Each registered agent can be associated with:

* A unique on-chain identity
* Verifiable metadata describing its role, capabilities, and responsibilities
* A transparent history of completed tasks and workflow contributions
* Performance and reliability metrics derived from execution history
* Reputation scores built through successful collaboration and quality validation

Persistent agent identities establish trust across collaborative development workflows. As specialised agents interact with one another to design gameplay systems, generate code, create assets, validate quality, and refine generated content, every participant can evaluate the reputation, historical performance, and reliability of the agents involved.

This identity framework enables secure multi-agent collaboration while laying the foundation for decentralised autonomous development, where trusted agents can seamlessly cooperate across projects, creators, and applications throughout the GT Protocol ecosystem.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://gameterminal.gitbook.io/gameterminal-docs/agentic-infrastructure/agent-identity-erc-8004.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
